Hi, I’m Kirsten — a mother of two young boys, freelance video editor, and digital designer with a passion for storytelling through film, animation, and interactive media. For over 10 years at Simon Fraser University, I worked as a Senior Visual Communication Designer, creating UX/UI designs, branding campaigns, websites, and educational media experiences that made complex ideas engaging and accessible. My passion is meaningful storytelling. I’m currently developing a children’s animation series and educational materials inspired by the Fruit of the Spirit, combining playful storytelling with thoughtful themes for young audiences. My earlier graduate research explored interactive video and interface-driven filmmaking as new ways of telling stories beyond traditional linear media. With both a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Applied Science from SFU’s School of Interactive Arts and Technology, I bring together design thinking, technical skill, and playful creativity across film, animation, and digital media.
